1. Trim the Wick: Before lighting your candle each time, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch to prevent excessive smoking and ensure a cleaner burn. This also helps in controlling the size of the flame.
2. Keep the Wax Pool Clean: Allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the container each time you burn your candle. This prevents tunneling (where the candle burns straight down the center) and ensures an even burn.
3. Burn in Intervals: It's recommended to burn candles for no more than 4 hours at a time. This helps to prevent overheating of the container and prolongs the candle's overall lifespan.
4. Avoid Drafts: Keep candles away from drafts, vents, or air currents to prevent uneven burning, smoking, or dripping.
